Webmail in cPanel¶
Webmail allows you to use email without installing an additional application.
All you need is a web browser.
You can use it to:
- receive messages,
- send messages,
- reply to emails,
- forward messages,
- create folders,
- search your mailbox,
- manage contacts.
1. How to open Webmail from cPanel¶
After logging in to cPanel, go to:
Email → Email Accounts
Find the mailbox you want to use.
Example:
Click:
Check Email
Then open Webmail.
The most commonly available application is:
Roundcube
2. Logging in directly to Webmail¶
You can also log in to Webmail without opening cPanel first.
The login address depends on the hosting configuration.
It is usually provided in the details of your hosting service.
Use:

The login is the full email address, not only the part before the
@symbol.
3. Receiving messages¶
After logging in, you will see your inbox.
The folder is usually called:
Inbox
or:
Odebrane
Click a message to open it.
4. Sending a new message¶
To create a new message, click:
Compose
or:
Utwórz wiadomość
Enter:
Then enter the message body.
Finally, click:
Send
5. Adding an attachment¶
When composing a message, you can attach a file.
Click the attachment option, for example:
Attach
or the paperclip icon.
Select a file from your computer and wait until it has been added to the message.
Then send the message.
The maximum attachment size depends on the mail server configuration.
6. Replying to a message¶
Open the message and click:
Reply
If you want to reply to all recipients, select:
Reply All
Then enter your reply and click:
Send
7. Forwarding a message¶
To forward a received message to another person:
- open the message,
- click:
Forward
- enter the recipient address,
- click:
Send
8. Mail folders¶
In Webmail, you will find folders such as:
which correspond to:
You can also create your own folders.

9. Spam¶
Messages considered suspicious may be moved to:
Junk
or:
Spam
If an expected message is not in your inbox, also check this folder.
Do not open suspicious links or attachments from unknown senders.
10. Deleting messages¶
To delete a message:
- select it,
- click the trash icon or:
Delete
The message will usually be moved to:
Trash
Remember that messages in the Trash folder may still use mailbox storage.
11. Searching for messages¶
If you have many messages, use the search field.
You can search by:
- sender,
- email address,
- subject,
- message content.
12. Contacts¶
Webmail allows you to save contacts.
For example:
This means you do not have to type the full address again when composing another message.
13. Changing the mailbox password¶
It is best to change mailbox passwords in cPanel.
Go to:
Email → Email Accounts
Find the appropriate account and click:
Manage
Set a new password and save the change.
After changing the password, use the new password when logging in to Webmail as well.
14. The mailbox is full¶
If the mailbox reaches its storage quota, it may stop receiving new messages.
In that situation:
- delete unnecessary messages,
- empty the Trash folder,
- remove unnecessary messages from the Sent folder,
- check for large messages with attachments.
You can also increase the mailbox quota in:
Email → Email Accounts → Manage
provided that enough storage is available on the hosting account.
15. Webmail and Outlook or a phone¶
Webmail and an email client using IMAP can work at the same time.
Example:
can show the same messages and folders.
If you delete a message in one place, the change may also be synchronized to the other devices.
16. Logging out¶
When you finish working, especially on a public or shared computer, always click:
Logout
Closing the browser tab alone is not enough.
17. Simplest procedure¶
To access your email:
- Log in to cPanel.
- Go to:
Email → Email Accounts
- Find your mailbox.
- Click:
Check Email
- Open Webmail.
- Use your email in the browser.
Done.
